Will to Win’s motto is “Sport for All”. It offers tennis and multi-sport facilities, striving to provide accessible, affordable sport.
It is a mission that fits with OpenPlay’s own aims to transform the sport and leisure industry to make it easier for people to get active in their communities.
So, when Will to Win wanted to upgrade its booking technology in 2017 and design a better system for customers and staff, it was natural that we started to work together.
We formed a strong partnership with Will to Win, working closely to offer lot more freedom and flexibility.
“OpenPlay’s technology is far better than our previous provider’s was. There were lots of things that our old system would not let us do – the software was restrictive and cumbersome, especially where the online bookings were concerned,” explains Edyta Pearce, Group Director of Business at Will to Win.
“Ours was definitely a complex project and has involved a lot of hard-work, but OpenPlay has come up with lots of solutions,” explains Edyta. “We’ve been good at working together to pick out what customers want and what will make things easier for them.”
This saw OpenPlay design a much more streamlined booking system, including smart features that allowed customers to buy and use credit tokens for future purchases.
The new system has also helped to leverage the commercial power of data and technology. OpenPlay has enabled Will to Win to integrate its existing operations with other software, such as customer data into its CRM tools and channelling sales data into its accountancy function. It has also created tailored software to facilitate offline booking synchronisation and input into the overall system.
Will to Win has long been an early adopter of technology, moving bookings online in 2009. Since working with OpenPlay Edyta describes this technological capability as “moving us miles ahead of where we were.”
Will to Win’s new system accommodates hundreds of thousands of bookings a year, is heavily relied on by staff and has contributed to the growth of the business.
It is now planning a long-term partnership with OpenPlay to meet its longer-term ambitions to introduce even more technology that will please customers and support further growth, such as using automation and touch-in gate facilities.
