Established in 1869 and set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds near the banks of the River Thames in West London, The Hurlingham Club is recognised throughout the world as one of Britain’s greatest private members’ clubs.
While steeped in quintessentially English traditions and heritage, it has a strong focus on providing first-class modern facilities and services for its members. In 2018 The Hurlingham Club enlisted OpenPlay as its technology partner, tasking us with the challenge to introduce comprehensive new software to support its operations.
We unveiled a new booking system, which enables Hurlingham’s members to book group and individual sessions across the full range of the Club sports facilities, from tennis and cricket, to golf, croquet, bowls and personal training.
This is something that had not been possible before and involved integrating OpenPlay’s system through the Club’s website, as well as other existing software.
This has completely transformed how we operate. Before we used to have people coming into the club to book courses, like tennis and swimming."
The ability of this technology to power group bookings and courses has made a material difference to Hurlingham.
Tony Dutton, Sports Manager at The Hurlingham Club explains: “This has completely transformed how we operate. Before we used to have people coming into the club to book courses, like tennis and swimming. Enabling people to do this easily online has saved no end of time and made it a much better experience for members.”
Hurlingham Club is looking forward to the roll-out of OpenPlay’s new system. A great example of a club that is taking an increasingly innovative approach, it is keen to increasingly use data to inform its operations and offer the very highest standards to members.
